Salary - $98,059 pa + Incidental Allowance + Superannuation + Leave Loading
Your role
Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking a qualified candidate and supervisor for the Senior Overseer role at Glen Innes Correctional Centre, you must have experience in following trades - Building, Construction or related trade.
As the standout candidate for this role, you will have robust communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates, Quality control / inspection responsibilities and ensuring compliance. You are also required to have sound computer knowledge and be resilient with strong time management skills.
What you'll do
As a standout candidate you will have:
- Proven post trade experience
- Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
- Ability and willingness to work across trades as required, throughout the centre in various CSI Business Unit
- Extensive experience in the supervision and management of workers and providing instructions and training to low skilled workforce
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high productivity levels whilst maintaining cost and quality in a safe working environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution
- Proven skills in customer service, meeting operational targets
- Experience in business applications, ie Pronto, Knowledge of WHS and QMS requirements and standards
- Current Certificate III or higher in Building, Construction or related trade
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
- Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
- General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
