  • $98,435 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A,) - Level 6 of EBA5 * 9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine
The position sits within the Transport Engineering team which is one of five teams within the Integrated Transport Planning and Design Department.
Our primary focus of the team is to design and project coordinate a wide variety of integrated transport projects that meet the communities needs and corporate vision with a range in value between $2M and $200M. ITE also lead the road safety, technology advancements such intelligent transport systems and urban traffic control for the regions transport system and is looking to continually grow and trial new innovations in these key areas.
About our opportunity
As our Senior Transport Engineer you will, provide specialist engineering input into the development and delivery of the design and coordination of transport infrastructure programs and capital projects.
You will have the opportunity to provide specialist technical advice based on contemporary best practice transport design principles, relevant standards, guidelines and Council policies that is context sensitive and consistent.
You will assist with the preparation of concept designs for transport solutions that respond to user needs, undertake analytical processes to identify preferred transport solutions considering all road user needs and proactively take ownership to manage and coordinate projects utilising contemporary best practices to deliver on time and on budget project results.
You will have the opportunity to mentor other team members and build valuable relationships with internal and external stakeholders across a broad range of projects.
About you
If you are an expert in time management, able to mentor and guide others and have a desire for the best outcomes for our community in regards to transport design we want to hear from you.
We are seeking someone with experience in transport planning and design, knowledge of contemporary best practice transport design principles and relevant standards. You will have experience in reading, analysing and interpreting survey plans, field data and civil engineering design drawings.
You have have high attention for details and experience in preparing and presenting technical reports and proposals.
