In the role of Senior Engineer (Civil) you will manage the routine maintenance performance contracts (RMPC) and delivery of road infrastructure projects through the provision of technical expertise and the administration of contracts and support to the design, construction, and Maintenance processes.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support and advice on the planning and design process to ensure delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice is achieved.
- Determine the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery.
- Undertake reviews of the contract documents, analyse offers, programming preconstruction, construction, and Maintenance activities.
- Responsible for the administration of the delivery of projects and programs of work, tasks include contract administration and program management.
- Conduct assessments of road infrastructure and prepare reports on recommended engineering solutions to particular problems.
- Manage and Maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities.
- In managing projects, you will have the responsibility to plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff that would include encouraging teamwork and fostering a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
- A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position; however, applications will also be
