Primary objectives of the position:

• Development of strategic programs and asset management plans focussing on all transport and road related infrastructure, including road pavements, road lighting, on-road bicycle paths, footpaths, kerb & channel, bridges and bus shelters.
• Be an authority in Council on matters in relation the transport program, transport and traffic planning and transport network asset management-as well as engage in effective interaction and networking for the provision of advice at various levels within Council and external to Council.
• Provide excellent customer service whilst establishing and promoting a commitment to continuous improvement.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• You have achieved a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and have gained relevant experience in Transport and Road infrastructure and the policies, strategies, and procedures necessary to achieve effective outcomes. On a personal note, you have solid decision making and problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Critical to your success will be your ability to engage and partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop programs and strategies for current and future infrastructure assets.
