• $48.39 hour + super
• Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 16:15pm
• Full-time hours ongoing basis with possible extension.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to assist in the delivery and implementation of the transport planning strategies as well as other transport planning policies and projects. Specifically, the primary objective of this position is to: Manage the development of local area parking plans. Provide significant technical expertise in the development of transport planning strategies and policies that seek to improve the movement and connectivity of people and goods within and out of the city.

To be successful in this role, please find the following requirements/duties:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning, civil engineering or transport planning
• Relevant experience in a transport planning role is desirable.
• Manage the development of local area parking plans
• Provide technical expertise in the delivery and implementation of transport planning initiatives, policies and projects as well as monitor complex multi-disciplinary transport planning projects to ensure consistency with defined project deliverables and organisational acceptance of outcomes.
• Develop and maintain highly effective and customer focused working relationships with colleagues and partners
• Research, review and monitor emerging risks, priorities, opportunities, trends and technological advancements impacting on the City wide integrated transportation system and provide expert knowledge and recommendations.
• Achieve cost effective and efficient services within a budgetary framework through monitoring financial and project resources.
