Senior Ventilation Engineer

Randstad are proud to partner with a global leader in the resources sector, and offer an opportunity to join our clients team as a Senior Ventilation Engineer. This role will be offered as a permanent opportunity, on a 8:6 FIFO roster out of Adelaide to our clients site. Applications are now open for this role, with interviews taking place in the coming weeks.Position Purpose:In this opportunity, the successful applicant will be required to lead, coach, and mentor a team of mine Ventilation Engineers underground at one of our clients assets.

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of mine Ventilation Engineers and technicians.
• Lead design and planning to support underground infrastructure projects.
• Monitor underground and surface ventilation, maintain equipment and systems to meet requirements.
• Control the underground ventilation system of the mine site, coinciding with the budgeted targets.
• Control and monitor all underground ventilation systems to ensure ventilation standards and regulations are achieved.
• Manage the contractors undertaking the ventilation projects.
• Conduct environmental hygiene checks and surveys for temperature, gas, dust, air flows, and other contaminants.
• Complete hazard identification, rectification and reporting in line with site requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in mining, civil or Ventilation Engineering.
• At Least five years experience working in an underground mining environment.
• At least two years experience working in a similar role, mining ventilation or similar discipline.
• Experience in ventilation design within a mining environment, including commissioning of infrastructure.
• Experience in Microsoft Office, Ventsim, INX and Deswik suite software experience.
