Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital (BBWH) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our team in a senior full-time position.
BBWH is Australia’s largest mobile wildlife hospital, with our base located in the gorgeous Northern Rivers, NSW. We are a not-for-profit Wildlife Veterinary hospital that provides high quality veterinary medicine and treatment to wildlife free of charge as well as providing veterinary services to a small wildlife sanctuary. We see all species and have big dreams for the care and rehabilitation of wildlife.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for wildlife,
- Has experience in the veterinary care and rehabilitation of native animals,
- Is self-motivated and shows initiative,
- Wants to contribute to the wildlife sector, and has a
- Keenness to contribute to the growth of our hospital.
The successful applicant will have:
- A Certificate IV in veterinary nursing
- At least 3 years’ experience in veterinary nursing with Australian wildlife experience
- Tetanus, Q fever and rabies vaccination or willing to obtain,
- Good time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing a team.
