Being a member of the Work Health & Safety (WHS) Team, you will have outstanding thinking skills, balanced with an ability to deliver innovative solutions for the business. This role will have influence and responsibility for providing accurate and timely advice to stakeholders and senior management that is both inventive and pragmatic.
About the role:
As a member of the City Governance Directorate at Campbelltown City Council and the WHS team, you will be working with a high performing team that is tasked with implementing Council’s WHS Strategy, including leading and working on exciting WHS related projects.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of Council’s programmed and random inspections, safety audits and risk assessments as well as the preparation of reports to identify non-conformances, including recommendations and solution options. You will also be responsible for leading serious incident investigations and working with stakeholders and senior management to implement corrective actions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
Relevant tertiary experience and/or extensive job-related experience
Extensive knowledge and application of WHS principles and practices
Thorough knowledge of WHS legislation
Demonstrated experience in accident investigation and reporting, undertaking inspections, auditing and risk assessments.
