Our client is an established leading management consultancy that has a global presence, working with both the public and private sector, focusing on large-scale challenging projects across multiple disciplines (ie) Renewables, Energy, Defence, commercial, road & rail, resources, health, and education to name a few.
They are currently recruiting a Senior / Consultant to join their successful and growing team in their office in Sydney.
The ideal candidate will have experience on major projects, who is able to deal with the interfaces between commercial, construction, design, procurement, the rest of the project controls team. 3-5 years’ experience on major infrastructure projects >$500m. Pre and post contract Planning/schedule experience and/or project controls with P6 knowledge. Strong communication and stakeholder skills.
Experience on Renewables Projects or major infrastructure projects is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Master planning
- Contract Management
- Provide technical and professional skills, knowledge and support
- Responsible for checking all documents prepared by him/her to ensure factual correctness and that quality standards are maintained
- Risk analysis – project and business
- Run meetings and workshops
- Assist with the on-going staff training programme
- Help with research and development
- Establish and maintain contact with providers of services that supplement or complement those of the firm
- Follow the firms quality and OHSE procedures
- Ensure that commercial risks (financial and professionally) are minimised
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven Renewables experience
- Experience in the delivery of the full range of pre and post contract construction programming
- Knowledge of construction planning and programming principles, standards and methodology
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills and high attention to detail and quality of work
- Team player but also able to work autonomously
- People management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in a number of planning and scheduling software packages, including Primavera P6, OPP, Cobra and Microsoft Project
- Excellent MS Excel and Word skills
