My client is an established chartered firm who provide services in Accounting, Taxation, Outsourced Finance, Superannuation, and Financial planning.
Their clients include SMEs, HNWIs and corporate business with turnover ranging up to $50 million. Their portfolio is varied but includes clientele across the medical, legal, real-estate, consulting, property and manufacturing industries.
They are now seeking an experienced Accountant to help manage a portfolio of fees, with the support of both onshore and offshore team members. Their accounting division is split into various teams, providing a clear structure for managing each book of clients. This role will offer the opportunity to progress upwards in management duties (if that is something desired).
Don’t confuse the suburban location with boring work - you will be given plenty of client contact and exposed to diverse work that ensures each day is different and challenging.
The business has a close-knit and family-friendly culture team with low staff turnover, so this role is suited to a candidate who is looking for a long-term move.

Key duties include:
- Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for all entities
- Tax calculations for GST, FBT, Division7a, CGT etc.
- Training and reviewing the work of junior staff members
- Journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Communicating with clients and managing expectations to set deadlines
- Researching and interpreting tax and other relevant legislations
- Liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other relevant government bodies
The ideal candidate will possess:
- CA or CPA qualification (or close to completion)
- Minimum 4 + years Business Services experience
- Great communication skills – both written & verbal
- Friendly and "can-do" attitude
