Job description:
About the Role:
2x Permanent, fulle time roles available.
Reporting to the Import Desk Team Leader in our Melbourne office, the Service Delivery Coordinator will provide excellent customer care and assist customers with all import queries and issues, while coordinating with both internal and external parties, including Australian Government entities to ensure smooth and compliant delivery of import cargo across all nominated ports and terminals.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Attend to customers' emails and phone calls regarding all import queries, such as: import documentation (delivery order, invoice, arrival notice), cargo arrival, transshipment details, cargo availability, terminal storage, detention, container dehire, damaged containers and cargo claims
- Attend to emails and requests from Australia Customs, Port Authorities and Terminals
- Follow-up with clients on idle containers and keep terminals updated
- Ensure customer complaints are reported to the Import Desk Team Leader and or Import Desk Manager
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completion of year 12 or equivalent
- Keen to start and build your career in shipping/supply chain and logsitics
- Strong proficiency in computer skills
- Customer oriented with sound relationship building skills
- Good communication skills
- Work in a pressure environment
