IRONMAN Group is the global industry leader in the delivery of mass participation event experiences. IRONMAN Oceania develops, owns, and manages mass participation triathlon, running, and multi-sport events throughout Australia and New Zealand. Some of the events in our portfolio include the inconic City2Surf fun run, IRONMAN Cairns, Noosa Triathlon festival and many others.
We are looking for a Service Desk Specialist to join our IT team and provide technical support to IRONMAN employees across our 4 main offices in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne and Noosa.
You will be working with a great team of passionate events professionals in a fun and collaborative work environment.
The role:
- IT Help Desk Position
- Deploy laptops to users (Apple and Windows)
- Troubleshoot and service computers/laptops (Apple and Windows)
- Communicate with users over phone, chat, email, ticket
- Upgrade existing customer hardware and software
- Add, change, disable users
- Work within the Help Desk case management system
- Responsible for tracking hardware/software inventory.
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate problem solving and creative skills
- Communicate effectively with globally distributed teams, in various time zones, using excellent customer service skills.
- Keep a positive but realistic attitude- even under pressure
- Be pro-active and passionate about learning new technologies.
Skills and experience:
- Knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and common software (Apple and Windows)
- 3+ years customer support/help desk experience
- Good technical problem solving and interpersonal skills to assist others in problem resolution.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficient in all MS Office programs, with advanced Excel skills highly desired.
The role is based in our Melbourne office in South Melbourne with the flexibility for some remote work.
