The new division will offer transaction and savings accounts designed to provide tailored functionality and features to help small business owners and everyday consumers manage their finances 'on-the-go' from their mobile phones. This is an exciting new initiative for AMP Bank that will position us to support Australia's growing number of small businesses with their banking needs and further deliver on our purpose, helping people to create their tomorrow.How you'll make an impactAMP Bank is a growing retail bank, with a focus on providing retail deposit and savings accounts, residential mortgage products and services, as well as other consumer value add services that support and complement AMP's businesses. The Bank distributes direct to retail customers and through brokers and advisers.As Service Owner Payments and Cards, you will be helping us to build and run this exciting new division. You will be responsible to ensure we solve for banking and payments needs for SME customers, design solutions and support a seamless and secure payment experience.You'll make an impact by:
  • Evaluate customer needs in the SME sector and design solution as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Payments and Financial Crime Solution Providers.
  • Monitor and enhance performance upon launch.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements that impact SMEs, adapting strategies and initiatives accordingly.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, fostering an environment conducive to creativity and teamwork.
What you will bring to the team
  • Extensive experience, 8+ years, working in banking and financial services; experience working in a FinTech or Schemes/Payments rails provider is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in Payments and Cards management in the SME sector including a proven track record working with scheme, BECS and fast payment providers
  • Strong understanding of SME business dynamics, challenges and opportunities
  • Proven experience in the successful management and implementation of regulatory changes
  • Demonstrated ability to implement operational and/or organisational change
  • Ability to deliver results through others via effective leadership and coaching
  • Experience in identifying, assessing and addressing operational risk
  • Proven experience in issuing and acquiring payments solutions together with invoicing and accounting
  • Understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for Banking and Financial Services
  • Understanding of competitors propositions and industry trends and as they relate to a banking environment
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, commerce or other relevant discipline
