About the Position
The Service Supervisor – Fire is responsible for a range of client facing activities as well as being hands on in completing a range of works whilst managing the performance of a small team of technicians (2-4). You will manage a maintenance schedule across multiple sites in Darwin as well as remotely within NT.
Here’s a snapshot of your day:
- Support the Service Manager in delivering outcomes for a key group of clients via a team of technicians
- Maintain and service all Wet Fire Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to Australian Standards
- Conduct routine inspection, testing and servicing of Wet Fire Systems - Sprinklers, hydrants, hoses and pumps
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships
- Determine job priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Coordinate, compile and submit the required paperwork and other procedures
- Attending callouts as per rostered requirements
- Maintain industry knowledge and monitor market developments, keep up to date with the latest changes and advances in Fire Services
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the Fire industry (wet/dry), with experience as a supervisor/Leading Hand
- Trade Qualified – Plumbing/Registered Fire Sprinkler Fitter
- Experience using SimPro is highly advantageous
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of OH&S Requirements
- Strong diagnostics and fault-finding abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
