Sheet metal business situated in Bankstown, Sydney NSW specialises in Sheet Metal Product Manufacturing. We are experiencing high demand and growth, currently looking for Multiple Roles below to be part of our team:

Leading Hand / Workshop Foreman

This job position suits someone who's currently a supervisor / Leading Hand or lead welder looking for good working culture and career progression. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise, motivate and assign duties for workers
• Work on the workshop floor, on tools to help the team for part of the production process (e.g. notching, grinding, folding etc). 
• Responsible for on-time production according to schedule provided
• Schedule and shuffle jobs for daily delivery 
• Answer technical questions on products specifications / welding / drawings
• Material wastage control (e.g. organise offcuts)
• Create job sheets for workers (guillotiners / welders / painter / driver)
• Ensure that quality standards and safety precautions are followed and met

Qualification:

• Welding and fabrication experience essential
• Manufacturing and production experience essential
• Ability to read drawings, welding specifics and execute Sheet Metal cutting jobs essential
• Sheet metal experience essential
• Forklift license preferred, not essential
