The Venue:
The Nationally recognised award winning Royal Hotel Queanbeyan is seeking a young and energetic Shift Manager. The recently renovated Hotel has an outstanding reputation for a quality beverage and dining experience complimented by a modern and well-designed gaming operation. You will become a part of the young team and will be working closely with the owners to deliver a first class experience in a pub atmosphere. The Role:
We are seeking a person who has tasted the hospitality industry and now wants to make it a career. They should be ambitious, committed and eager to learn. You will need to demonstrate a passion for hospitality and a can do attitude for delivering an outstanding service. This is a long term permanent role and you will be encouraged to undertake further formal education qualifications.
The Requirements
- RSA and gaming knowledge and experience;
- Working late nights;
- Closing and security procedures;
- Experience in any form of hospitality and the desire to advance further into a full time career;
- You need to be well groomed, punctual with the desire to learn;
- Be prepared to undertake further studies and obtain formal qualifications;
- Have initiative, passion and drive;
- Be prepared to learn and work in all areas of the hotel;
- Great work ethic and dependable;
- Meet and greet customers;
- Check and maintain the quality and standard of service;
- take bookings on the internal booking system;
- Service customers in the bistro, Bar and gaming room as required. This may include late night shifts;
- Perform daily cash reconciliations as required;
- Perform other duties as required.
