Shopping Centre Manager, (Property Manager)

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a foot in the door with a leading property landlord who owns a large portfolio of Shopping Centres in QLD. They have a reputation for fostering a great culture, team ethic, training and career development.
You will manage a well-presented sub-regional Shopping Centre with a GLA of approximately 25,000. You will be responsible for maintaining the budget while leading and developing a small on-site team, including Operations, Marketing, and Administration staff.
You will have full autonomy for the Shopping Centre where you are based and be the leading Property expert for the asset. As part of a larger Centre Management team, you will have support, access to training and development, and the ability to utilise excellent systems.
As the Shopping Centres' primary custodian, the role will draw upon your ability to plan, develop and execute the annual Centre Budget & Business Plan, as well as develop the onsite team, robust revenue management and diplomatic stakeholder and tenant relationship management.
A snapshot of your responsibility will include:
- Preparing the annual Centre Budget and Business Plan in consultation with the Regional General Manager
- Work closely with the leasing team, supporting renewals and new business development
- Ensure that all rentals, outgoings, turnover rental, promotions levies, tenant electricity and any other tenant recoverables are changed and collected
- Collecting monthly sales figures from retailers and preparing monthly sales spreadsheets from the data.
- Engaging in regular meetings in partnership with the Marketing team and retailers to discuss and implement effective and targeted marketing, promotional and advertising requirements for their business
- Developing and maintaining strong communication lines with all Centre retailers, contractors, customers and councils.
- Take overall responsibility for the introduction and/or departure of incoming/outgoing tenants.
- Maintain compliance and lower risk.
You will have experience working with commercial assets, ideally as a Shopping Centre Manager, Retail Property Manager, Retail Manager or similar position, with the gravitas to move into Centre Management. Naturally, you will have excellent people, leadership, and customer skills, along with strong financial and commercial acumen.
