A great opportunity exists on the Bayside for a Short Order Cook at Redlands Sporting Club in their Café. You will be stepping into a friendly and dedicated team in a full-time capacity. The Short Order Cook is responsible for ensuring that the standard and quality of the food preparation and the hygiene within the department is always maintained at the highest level.
You must be able to work efficiently, operate well under pressure and be willing to assist with Front of House operations. Our establishment, known for its high-volume service and unwavering commitment to product consistency, serves as a central hub for both local residents and visitors, providing a blend of relaxation, entertainment, and exceptional service.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
- Provide a high-quality product that is prepared consistently based on set standards
- Preparation and cooking for lunch and dinner services as well as some functions
- Food safety, dietary and allergy requirements
- Liaise with Management
Expectations of a successful candidate:
- A commercial Cookery Certificate is advantageous
- Two (2) years of cookery experience within a licensed club, pub or restaurant would be advantageous
- Food Safety Certificate
- Knowledge of workplace health & safety procedures
- A flexible & adaptable nature to work nights, weekends, public holidays
- A friendly, enthusiastic, and positive can-do attitude
- Excellent time management skills & ability to prioritise workloads
