BATHROOM & KITCHEN
Bathwaredirect, a well-established and reputable Bathroom & Kitchen company with a presence both online and offline, is seeking a design-loving, highly motivated Showroom & Online Sales Consultant to join the team.
The position calls for the delivery of high levels of customer service and a passion for design and interiors. You will be the first line of sales contact in our gorgeous showroom in Narre Warren. It will be a busy role answering the phone, assisting customers on the floor, and responding to emails. The showroom floor will be your domain, but you'll also be attending to online enquiries.

The key tasks are:
- Manage the showroom floor as if it were your own. This is not a high-traffic environment, but those customers attending need to be made to feel special, with a truly personalised service
- Provide prompt responses to all telephone calls, internet enquiries and showroom visitors
- Make appointments with sales representatives calling on the company to ensure the showroom display stock, samples and price lists are always current
Place showroom orders with suppliers, update reports, liaise with suppliers and warehouses to ensure customer requirements are dealt with and stock queries are addressed - Assist with customer order management: place orders with suppliers for shipping direct to customer, into showroom, or to the warehouse for repackaging
- Assist with the general maintenance of the showroom, window displays, merchandising, product placement and showroom tidiness
Ad hoc proactive sales outreach to designers, and other companies as specified by your line manager

- Experience in Microsoft Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.)
- Clear and respectful communication with all staff, suppliers and customers at all times
Requirements:
- Ability to work 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday & Saturdays as required 9am - 1pm in Narre Warren
- Several years experience in a similar role that blends in-person sales, answering the phone, responding to email and attending to a showroom floor
- Showroom experience
- Maintaining a clean, hospitable and welcoming space
- Awareness of theft prevention
- Basic merchandising skills
- Restocking of shelves when necessary
- Any online / internet expertise or experience
- What do you know about ecommerce?
Bonus Points:
- Tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing or other design-related disciplines
- Experience working for any high street retailers in the furniture, homewares & bathroom industry
- Background in the design and interiors industry
