This role is currently focusing on Signal Design drafting for Queensland Rail project and operational works. For example: Signalling changes for the Level Crossing Renewals, Inner City and Regional Train Detection and Interlocking Renewals.
Location/hours:
- Brisbane CBD office location.
- Our standard working hours are 38 hour per work week Monday to Friday, however whilst limited, there may be requirement for some pre-planned/occasional ad-hoc weekend work or outside hours work to support commissioning of design works. Compensation for approved outside hours work applies.
- Experience as a Signal Designer/Drafter/CAD working on Queensland Rail designs.
- Experience with Signalling Drafting / Bentley MicroStation and Cell Development preferably.
- Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise.
- Consideration may be given to applicants with an Electrical Trade background with experience in Queensland Rail Signalling interested in developing Design Drafting skillset.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and within a team.
- Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
We are looking for candidates that hold at the time of application an Australian issued/assessed by approved Australian RTO:
- Advanced Diploma Engineering (Electrical) or business approved electrical Associate, Adv Diploma or Bachelor Engineering Electrical qualification.
- Current unrestricted National Drivers Licence.
- Candidates holding a bachelor's degree' must be issued from an accredited Australian University OR be able to provide evidence of Queensland Rail accepted equivalent that is assessed and recognised by Engineers Australia, the national professional body for Engineers in Australia.
