   SIL Team Leader

  • Permanent Full-Time Leadership Opportunity; Located in Maroubra, NSW, 2035
  • Offering SCHADS Level 4 ($85,126 - $91,607 base) + Superannuation + NFP Salary Packaging
  • Flexible Work Arrangements; 1 Day WFH Per Month

About the Role:
The Team Leader’s role is critical in facilitating a culture of care, professionalism, and support for both consumers and staff. With a combination of frontline and operational responsibilities, the Team Leader will provide comprehensive oversight of the day-to-day functioning of the SIL home, coordinating staff to deliver quality client services, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring all NDIS compliance frameworks are upheld at all times.

As the Team Leader, you will be involved in:

  • Overseeing the implementation and monitoring of resident goals, activities, needs and risk plans and ensuring accurate weekly reporting in the record management system
  • Manage, support and mentor a dedicated team of Support Workers to deliver quality support services for clients
  • Leading by example in delivering frontline support for clients with complex mental health and psychosocial disabilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with ICLA’s service delivery processes, policies and procedures and promoting a strong safety culture
  • Liasing with a range of stakeholders in service to the client, e.g., behaviour support practitioners, families, guardians, allied health professionals and NDIS service providers
  • Monitoring consumer's NDIS budgets, ensuring service delivery is in line with programs and funding.
  • Managing the daily operations of the site and assisting the Regional Manager as required e.g., budget oversight, supply orders, maintenance, and other site-based operational matters.
  • On-call responsibilities once every 10 weeks (for a period of 1 week)
Essential Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will be a passionate leader in the Mental Health and/or Disability space, with the ability to mentor and supervise staff and facilitate a positive work environment. You will also have: 
  • A demonstrated understanding of the NDIS and Supported Independent Living (SIL) sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in Mental Health and/or Disability fields, and the confidence to support people living with complex needs
  • Certificate IV in Disability Support or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership skills and experience overseeing, mentoring and supporting a team of frontline staff
  • Excellent critical thinking and organisational skills
  • A solution-focused, objective and driven mindset
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
