Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Site Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Site Manager, Site Production Manager and overall site staff with various administrative aspects of the project. The position will be located initially in Cooma and as soon as site operations begin at site, he/she will be required to be full time located at site.
Key responsibilities
• Place purchase orders and coordinate purchases with site team, purchasing team and suppliers.
• Process invoices and complete goods receipts.
• Track site purchasing costs for project cost control.
• Support site HR activities.
• Coordinate site access (D&A, camp booking, …) and travel reservations.
• Maintain the site roster schedule.
• Enter and validate data into our construction management software (Insite LMS).
• Support general site communication and documentation.
• Support document storage in SAP and Aconex.
• Prepare reports and forecasts for project team and client.
Education
• Office administration certificate or a combination of education and experience deemed relevant.
Skills
• Previous demonstrated experience in construction administration for large construction projects. Experience in the Australian market is desirable.
• Collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
• Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). SAP knowledge is desirable.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English in an international team environment.
Site conditions
• A typical roster of 14 days in, 7 days out.
• A typical work schedule of 10 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Camp accommodation is provided.
Project Information
Snowy 2.0 is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, and construction of this major pumped-hydro project is well underway. Once complete, the Scheme will provide 2000 megawatts of dispatchable, OnDemand renewable power and approximately 350,000 megawatt hours of large-scale energy storage to the Australian National Electricity Market. Voith is the awarded Subcontractor. The above role is in connection to this project.
