About the role:
MPK is seeking a Site Engineer to join our Project Team in the Surat Basin on a 19:9 roster. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, this position will coordinate and plan the technical aspects of the project and work closely with the field team
Main Duties include:
- Interpret plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Assist with project procurement processes
- Check technical designs and drawings to ensure there are no buildability issues to be resolved.
- Prepare work packs, site reports and complete MDR documentation as required.
- Assist the Project Engineer to develop documents required for the submission of plans to local authorities, in an effort, to obtain approvals.
- Knowledge and adherence to required and relevant legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost, and safety.
- Establish and implement systems to ensure construction work complies with engineering drawings.
- Maintain and foster relationships and contacts and liaise with the owner’s team in respect of technical issues, specifications, and variation.
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience & knowledge/skills:
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in the construction, oil and gas or civil industry
- High level oral and written communication skills and numeracy skills.
- Sound administration skills with the ability to use computers to assist with work including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to provide technical advice and solve onsite queries as they occur.
- Ability to monitor and interpret technical designs and drawings and ensuring they are applied correctly in the field.
- Demonstrated experience to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Construction management skills.
