Smp Site Engineer

NES Fircroft have partnered with a well known Hydrogen Project in Gladstone. For the next phase of the build they're looking for an experienced SMP Site Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for coordinating delivery of, Structural fabrication and installation, Mechanical installation & Piping fabrication and installation.Preferably you will be Gladstone based, however FIFO / DIDO on a 2/1 roster can be arranged for the right person.As the SMP Site Engineer you will be responsible for contractors schedules & budgets and have proactive interface management skills, adept at mitigating issues to ensure smooth integration of scopes within the overarching project. This entails collaborating closely with Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Health & Safety, Environmental, Social Engagement, and Contracts and Procurement teams.Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination, facilitation and management of Contractor works.
• Collaboration with contractors and stakeholders.
• Implementation of the change management process as required.
• Maintain project documentation, design changes, field reports, and correspondence.
• Assess and respond to Technical Queries as they arise.
• Provide project engineering support
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks
• Assist in contractor cost estimation and budget management.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Min 5 years SMP engineering experience on major capital projects heavy industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability and confidence to hit the ground running.
• Strong understanding of project reporting regimes and inputs to weekly and monthly reports.
• Right to work in Australia.
