As an Australian Defence Force partner, Ventia works across some of Australia's newest, most unique equipment including artillery, small arms, instruments, night vision equipment, high-tech armoured vehicles, personnel carriers, trucks, earthmoving equipment, motor bikes and propulsion equipment.
Our support to the ADF includes inspections, scheduled servicing, repairs and modifications, programmed maintenance, as well as project work and deeper level maintenance and overhauls.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at our Amberley facility, the Site Manager manages the performance of the delivery of maintenance, repair, and project services to Defence equipment including vehicles, plant equipment and armoury, across the South QLD region.
Based at our facility in Amberley, QLD, this fulltime permanent position will see you oversee day to day activities to ensure smooth operation and contract performance objectives are achieved. Rostered hours of 7:00am to 3:45pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:00am to 12:00pm (noon) on Fridays.

Responsibilities of the role include, but aren't limited to:
- Financial Control including working to strict monthly budgets, forecasting, recommending maintenance improvements in productivity and/or cost and collecting and sharing cost information.
- Creating a collaborative, trusted working relationship with the Client to develop and regularly report on agreed expectations.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Training & Development of your team
- Supporting and implementing change initiatives
- Achieving best practice, safety, and quality standards
- Removing the barrier to support the team to achieve
- Providing Data & Analytics to inform stakeholders and highlight risks
- Looking at opportunities of innovation and improvement
- Proven Management/ Leadership capability in a workshop environment
- Trade qualification or maintenance experience advantageous
- Ability to interact and drive performance with technical staff and subcontractors.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Communication skills including presenting, negotiating, writing reports.
- Intermediate level MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Valid Driver's Licence
- You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
