Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan
- Monitor progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other
- Manage and coach staff effectively, leading the team in achieving project and personal goals
- Oversee, coach and mentor the works of the Site Supervision team
- Schedule and coordinate other site staff (e.g., admin) with priority issues / tasks being identified and actioned
- Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases
- Issue site instructions and other correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants
- Liaise with the Client and ensure a long-standing relationship is maintained
- Report to senior management on a regular basis and advise of any current or potential issues
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones;
- Establish a cohesive project team with defined responsibilities far assigned projects;
- Mentor staff as required to effectively carry out their assigned tasks
To be considered
- Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
- Current Senior First Aid
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- High level ability to read and interpret drawings
- Well-developed planning skills including industry knowledge regarding lead times for delivery and trade works
- Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams and individuals
- Knowledge of the work of construction trades and ability to assess quality of workmanship
