An experienced Site Manager in volume building. A full-time permanent role to join our ResidentialConstruction Team at our Lake Cathie Resort. The role would suit someone who has worked on volume build, town houses or similar. The current Site Manager has recently been promoted and will be there to do a handover. The team are seasoned and understand their roles at the site, you need to walk in learn the role with the newly promoted Manager start giving them direction, keep the quality to a high standard and ensure they are running to schedule. At GemLife this is one of many resorts that we are currently in construction for plus have many more that we will be starting construction in our long pipeline of work. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all aspects of construction on site ensuring compliances & quality are maintained.
- Scheduling and supervising contractors, subcontractors, labour and equipment resources.
- Managing and coordinating the site Labourers and Operators daily duties.
- Liaising with local authorities, utility providers and design consultants.
- Sourcing local trade contractors.
- Attending to project and contract administration duties.
- Advising on construction efficiencies and troubleshoot where necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety standards.
- Working within established project budgets and agreed timelines.
About You!
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Supervisor Licence essential and relevant qualification in Building & Construction
- A trade background and experience in high volume residential construction or commercial construction experience
- OH&S detailed knowledge of ensuring the site is safe.
- A good understanding of the development process from design, approval and construction delivery
- Local industry knowledge and established networks are a nice to have!
- Drivers Licence
- Excellent management and communication skills
- Proactive and action oriented, someone who takes responsibility and delivers the agreed outcomes.
- Calm and confident under pressure and able to adapt to challenging situations and embrace change.
- Comfortable with problem solving and the ability to share a vision and take others' ideas on board.
- Previous experience with building software preferably Onsite Companion but not essential
