About the role
This exciting role in our Victor Harbor Social Enterprise requires someone who can lead and build upon our lawns and gardens, firewood, and document destruction business activities.
You will be responsible for running the day-to-day activities, monitoring, recording, analysing and reporting on activities with a view to continuous improvement. You will empower, motivate, lead and manage a team of staff members and supported employees to be the best they can be and ensure the best possible customer service experience is provided.
Days of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:36pm, with occasional Saturday work to cover seasonal needs.
Duties include:
- Leading and managing a team of staff members and supported employees.
- Liaising with customers and ensuring they receive outstanding customer service.
- Identifying new business opportunities and planning for growth.
- Building relationships in the community to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Managing budgets and forecasting and controlling site expenditure.
- Planning and managing operational activities for the site including staffing needs and daily rosters.
- Ensuring all compliance requirements for the site are met.
- Celebrating successes with your team.
About you
- Have a passion for supporting people with a disability to be the best they can be.
- Be a self-directed, natural leader.
- Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Able to build rapport and relationships with people at all levels.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential
- A current NDIS Worker Screening, a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management or similar, or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience.
Desirable
- An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Previous experience working with people with disability.
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
- Current Provide First Aid certificate.
