We are now entering another exciting growth phase and an opportunity has arisen for a proactive Quality Managerto take ownership of our AS91000 quality management systems.
This is a key operational role reporting to the Chief Operations Officer that will oversee the company’s quality requirements, both internally and for our extensive customer base.
As a Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing product development, reliability, and production efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our AS9100 quality management system. This includes maintaining, improving, and ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations as well as maintaining awareness of emerging standards that are applicable to nascent technology.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:- Maintaining and improving all relevant areas of existing AS 9100 quality management systems.
- Managing both internal and external quality audit and responses, coordinating non-conformances as well as corrective and preventative actions.
- Updating and maintaining operational documentation as applicable.
- Perform Quality control on all aspects of the company production and management systems.
- Work collaboratively with staff to continually develop, implement, and improve relevant procedures and processes.
- Interact with external stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and foster strong relationships.
- Minimum 5+years’ experience implementing / operating ISO 9001 / AS 9100 (or similar) quality systems in the setting of an advanced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated competent inspection skills and experience in measurement systems.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and technical data.
- Diligent record keeping and a hands-on, practical approach to work methods.
- Highly effective decision making and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Results-orientated, enthusiastic, and highly motivated to succeed and improve processes.
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts to all levels of the business.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all departments.
- Familiarity with Monday.com or similar workflow tools would be advantage, full training will be given as required.
Conflux Technology is situated on the Deakin University, Waurn Ponds campus.
Conflux operates on a 38-hour week Monday to Friday with a flexible start and finish times. Due to the nature of additive manufacturing some work outside standard hours will be required from time to time.
Salary package negotiable depending on experience.
