About the role
As the National Food Safety and QA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of Food Safety and quality assurance across our network. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet regulatory standards, adhere to company policies, and consistently deliver the highest level of quality to our customers.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Food Safety and quality assurance programs in accordance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Zambrero network to ensure consistent implementation of Food Safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and suppliers to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with Food Safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and NPD to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging Food Safety trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to proactively mitigate risks and enhance our QA processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, customers, and auditors during inspections and audits, ensuring timely responses and resolution of any issues.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in Food Safety and quality assurance management within the food industry, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Food Safety regulations and industry standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
