The Role & The Team
Join us as a key member of the Enterprise Applications Platform (EAP) team within the Chief Technology Enablement Officer group at Airservices. As a Site Reliability Engineer reporting to the Digital Technology Platforms Lead and working closely with the Senior Application Performance Monitoring and Alerting Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our application landscape is highly available, secure, and optimised.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting in-depth application tuning activities based on trend analysis from alerting and monitoring tools and application logs.
- Collaborating on the creation and maintenance of application availability dashboards, representing the Quality of Service (QoS) for services within the Technology Enablement Unit.
- Establishing and maintaining application monitoring and alerting capabilities, aligning automated alerts with business needs.
- Contributing to the overall success of the EAP team by promoting a high-performing and accountable function.
The Person
We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Site Reliability Engineer with the following qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualise complex computer systems.
- Adaptable to the challenges of a varied role within a dynamic organisation.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
- Capability to identify tasks and activities necessary to meet customer requirements, set goals, and prioritise in line with business objectives.
- Proficient in defining processes and documenting procedures.
- Strong coding and development skills in Python, PL/SQL Scripting, Perl, Java, PHP, HTML, etc.
- Experience in alerting and monitoring using tools such as OEM, SCOM, Nagios, Splunk, SolarWinds, HPOM, Zabbix, Site24X7, etc.
- Proficiency in one or more application monitoring tools such as DynaTrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Datadog, and other recognised market leaders.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deploying automated infrastructure.
Security Clearance
