YOUR NEW POSITION
We are seeking the services of an experienced project “Site Supervisor” to join our NSW site projects team.
In this role you will be working on and leading projects throughout New South Wales with major projects scheduled to commence throughout regional NSW, our companies projects consist of the overhaul and return to service of assets across the state’s water and waste water networks. You will be part of a team dedicated to providing a turn-key solution including assets condition assessment, site removal, off-site and on-site overhaul through to re-installation and commissioning. The role has been developed to support the growth in our project sector. The role will include the day to day leadership, support and technical assistance to a team of trades and sub-contractors as required directly reporting to the project manager.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Lead, support and develop a successful team of trades and apprentices.
- Ensure project day to day tasks are scheduled and conducted in the “best time and cost efficient” manner possible to meet desired delivery and completion dates
- Ensure adherence to OHS policies and procedures
- Ensure adherence to customer and internal policies and procedures
- Day to day administration task for the team
- Management of on-site sub-contractors including their adherence to relevant policies and procedures
- Direct and delegate team labor to ensure project success
- Support project activities by supervising the project on-site and mechanical workshop tasks
- Provide quality workmanship in accordance with Australian Standards
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Cert III in mechanical engineering or higher
- Fitter trade qualified preferred
- Dual Trade Electrical Fitter optional
- Preferably at least 4 years post trade experience
- Demonstrate an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Ability to read precision measuring equipment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good time management skills
- Able to work overtime as required
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience of leading a team of trades in a site environment preferred
- Previous previous experience in the rotating equipment industry (water, power and industrial) preferred
WORK LOCATION
- Lisarow (Main Service Centre)
- Remote
- Candidate can be based out of Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle or the Hunter Valley
The candidate will be required to work out of the above locations as required along with project sites throughout NSW.
The successful applicant will be offered a competitive remuneration package based on experience and qualifications.
The position will be offered on an hourly rate with overtime offered as required, a company vehicle will be provided.
