Urban Building Solutions Pty Ltd (UBS) is a growing company within the building insurance industry.  Having a large portfolio of national clients within insurance and strata, we are regarded as one of the most prominent insurance building service providers in New South Wales.  With a new head office in Summer Hill, UBS operates from Batemans Bay, Goulburn, Sydney Metro through to Newcastle, Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay. UBS is in the process of expanding further into the ACT and SE Queensland in the next 3-6 months.

We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team in Sydney. In this role you will be an integral member of the UBS team reporting to the Project Manager. There is an opportunity for an immediate start however we are prepared to wait for the right person to join us.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor. You will bring to the role your local experience together with a diverse network of reliable sub-contractors who will deliver quality work consistent with the UBS brand. 

The role will require you to work closely with our clients, administration team, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients and customers. A strong customer service ethos is a must as is an honest work ethic.

The nature of our business requires occasional overtime to be worked as part of the role, particularly following major events. Equally we operate a friendly work environment where hard work is rewarded, and flexibility reciprocated.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day supervision of jobs throughout the construction cycle
• Direct and regular contact with sub-contractors to ensure all works are completed to UBS standards
• Regular communication with clients and customers
• Running multiple projects (up to 18 jobs) at one time, ensuring work is completed within budget
• Ensure jobs commence and are completed within the allocated time frame
• Ensure WHS requirements are met.

• UBS, part of the ARA Group, are in the process of expanding both into different geographical areas along with different construction services which will provide numerous opportunities to expand both knowledge within the building industry and offer potential management promotion to the right people.

Selections Criteria:

• Minimum 5 years proven experience in a similar Site Supervisor role – insurance industry experience is preferred although not essential
• You will understand the commercial aspects of your role, particularly related to competitive tendering of trades
• Excellent relationship management & communication skills, both written and verbal
• A highly organised approach and attention to detail
• Intermediate level of computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Valid Driver's License
• White card
