About the role:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the timely and compliant installation of Steel Framing in the residential and light commercial construction markets. Installation work for Maxispan is typically completed by sub-contract installation teams, with the Site Supervisor overseeing the works as they progress through to a final inspection and sign off upon completion. A primary objective of this role is to ensure all jobs meet with predetermined safety, budget, quality and design requirements, with work to be completed within agreed timeframes.
The position instructs and supports the installation sub-contractors, whilst working closely with the pre-production and production team leaders within Maxispan. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and OH&S requirements.
This exciting new role is commencing in January 2024.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A current Building Supervisor’s Licence (minimum 2 storey) - South Australia
- Certificate in Site Safety & WH&S Management (preferred)
- Relevant experience in site supervision - residential building
- Current South Australian Drivers Licence
Key Tasks
- Supervising the installation of steel frames in residential construction incl. detached housing, medium density and multi-dwelling projects
- Monitor and ensure all work is conducted to a high standard and within design specifications
- Ensuring the job site provide a safe working environment and compliance with WH&S requirements
- Ensuring job sites maintain a neat and clean appearance in order to best represent Maxispan
- Work closely with Maxispan customers and customers Site Supervisors
- Understand and implement quality control techniques and commit to a process of continuous improvement
