- Coordinating the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve outcomes
- Providing and taking leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management
- Completing progress reporting, and activities, reporting for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager
- Reading and understanding plans, reviewing design documentation, reading drawings, providing constructive review and implementing of final designs
- Identifying and mitigating risks prior to works commencing
- Communicating with and engaging relevant stakeholders to control risk and contributing to a risk management culture
- Selecting, training and developing leading hands; ensuring the observance of safety, other work standards and fair and reasonable application of industrial agreements
- Performing all duties in accordance with relevant policies, processes, systems and procedures
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a supervisor in a similar role
- Previous experience working on TfNSW or local Council projects.
- Technical competency and understanding of streetscapes, roads, footpaths and earthworks.
- Skill in review of design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans
- People and performance management of subcontractors and suppliers
- Trade qualifications or similar
