Job Description:
As a Site Supervisor (Carpenter), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective completion of construction projects. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities, managing all onsite activities, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the subcontractors onsite, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Review and interpret project plans and design documentation to determine materials, tools, equipment, and labor requirements.
- Coordinate with Director, subcontractors, and other building professionals to ensure project milestones are met.
- Train and mentor team members, promoting a culture of safety and craftsmanship.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain quality building standards.
- Manage project schedules and resourcing.
- Collaborate with the project management team to address any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare Daily Site Diary/Logs
Qualifications:
- Experience in coordinating projects with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the building industry
- Certificate III Carpentry
- Strong knowledge of building techniques and methods, including building codes and regulations.
- Experience with Buildxact
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and design documents
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
