SalaryOur client is a leading civil construction company who specialises in sewer and water infrastructure across all SEQ. Due to unpreceded growth well into 2024, we are recruiting for drainage crew leaders, excavator operators, pipe layers and skilled water industry labourers to join our crews with the strong pipeline of work.
This position offers 40-45hrs a week with overtime available. Our client's depot is based in Geebung, however successful candidates will need to be able to float between North and South Brisbane and Sunshine Coast projects.
Position Requirements - CREW LEADERS
- Previous experience in leading/running crews of 4-5
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and co-ordinating layouts
- Strong understanding in water/sewer installations for Brownfield Projects
- Experience in sewer, stormwater, watermains and gully pits/manholes
- Cert III in Civil Construction
Position Requirements - EXCAVATOR OPERATORS
- 8-20T machine experience
- Excavator RII and White card
- Demonstrated experience working on brownfield projects
- Must be able to backfill/compact trenches and shoring boxes up to 10m long x 4.5m deep
- Competent in excavating around live services, water mains / pipelines
- GPS experience is highly desired but not essential
Position Requirements - PIPE LAYERS
- Demonstrated experience installing sewer, stormwater, watermains and manholes/gully pits
- Ability to read plans and set pipe routes accordingly
- Setting up rotating lasers / pipe lasers
- Cpable of using dumpy levels to shoot and reduce heights
- Cert III in Civil Construction
- MR/HR Licence - desirable but no essential
Position Requirements - WATER INDUSTRY SKILLED LABOURERS
- Assisting pipe layers in installing sewer, water, and drainage pipes
- Connecting pipe collars/sealing joints using welding, glue, or cement
- Digging trenches, dewatering, backfilling, and other general civil labouring duties
- Experience with manholes, chambers and gully pits
- Dogman Ticket and Confined Space ticket - desirable but not essential
- White Card
Successful candidates will require their own car and licence, available for immediate start and must be willing to receive TWINRIX Immunisations (Tetanus, Hep A & B)
