Job Description:
As a Skilled Meat Worker, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and packaging meat products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Meat Preparation: Cutting, deboning, trimming, and slicing various types of meat including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry.
- Processing: Operating and maintaining meat processing machinery and equipment.
- Quality Control: Inspecting meat products for quality and compliance with food safety standards.
- Packaging: Packaging meat products for distribution, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Hygiene and Safety: Adhering to all hygiene and safety regulations, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing inventory levels, reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Meat Worker or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and processing methods.
- Ability to operate meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
