Allianz have an exciting 12-month opportunity to join our SME Underwriting team as an SME Underwriter where you will be responsible for providing a high level of underwriting service to our broker stakeholders and working collaboratively with our broader underwriting and distribution teams to ensure appropriate underwriting decisions are made. This role will suit a candidate who has had experience in underwriting SME Packages and Commercial Motor, has excellent broker management and influencing skills, and is looking to progress their career.
You'll be responsible for:

• Managing electronic referrals received via Sunrise. Managing new business requests, renewal management and the processing of endorsements and amendments as requested;
• Submitting ideas on how we can improve our underwriting approach to deliver objectives;
• Maximising retention of preferred accounts and review renewal and new business in conjunction with internal and external stakeholder requirements;
• Where appropriate and requested, engage face to face with local Brokers alongside distribution and underwriting staff to build relationships and partnerships;

Important to your success:

• A passion for providing a quality and responsive service to our internal and external customers;
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to both build relationships and influence at all levels;
• Experience in an operational, commercial underwriting role with exposure to at least a couple of annual underwriting cycles.
• Ability to plan and prioritise effectively with good attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
