Smp Project Engineer

RESIDENTIAL LOCATION: Kalgoorlie, WA

WORK SITE: Binduli

ROSTER: 5:2 or 10:4 (Residential or FIFO)

This role will be on a 18 months contract.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Project SMP Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and overseeing all Norton Gold Fields project related activities propitiates Phase 2 of Heap Leach, Conveyor, pipeline as well as all to other project within conduct or manage site construction/installation QA/QC. This position establishes QA/QC programs to ensure the quality of construction/installation comply with AU/NZS standards, specifications, IFC drawings and as per design.

KEY DUTIES AND TASKS

• Coordinate and prepare site construction/installation QA/QC plans and procedures.
• Participate and lead site construction/installation QA/QC. Review ITP, follow up site inspection.
• Liaise to suppliers for the construction/installation quality and rectifications based on relevant standards or as designed.
• Resolve technical issues; report site construction/installation activities as per the procedures or policies.
• Confer with construction/installation suppliers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
• Apply engineering principles or practices to site construction/installation activities. 
• Other miscellaneous jobs assigned by direct supervisor.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, structural, processing or equivalent
• Current unencumbered C Western Australian Drivers Licence

WORK KNOWLEDGE

• Strong previous experience in mine site construction/installation fields (at least 2-year mine site construction experience)
• Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation.
• Knowledge of civil design or work, and standards
• Good understanding of all relevant State and Federal legislation relevant to Mining Operations in Western Australia.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Expertise in Microsoft including outlook, word, excel, projects skills etc.
• Knowledge of AutoCad.
• Analysing data or information by identifying underlying principles.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• The ability to clearly and transparently communicate status, risks, plans; and provide realistic assessments of what is required to stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contribute to the culture of teamwork and take on responsibility for achieving results.
• Proven experience in working in a fast paced and dynamic environment with multiple conflicting deadlines.
• Proven ability to liaise effectively and collaboratively, to facilitate and achieve desired outcomes and to establish and maintain strong, productive working relationships. 
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills; Strong communication and negotiation skills.
