The Senior Employee Relations Advisor provides Employee Relations Advisory and support services to the QAS, including Regions and other key stakeholders on complex employment matters.
The role undertakes case management of investigation and discipline matters, including employee complaints and misconduct. The role also assists in the management of industrial matters, enterprise bargaining processes and undertakes the secretariat role with the peak union consultative committee.

- Whilst not mandatory, a recognised qualification in human resources, law or business would be well regarded.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated end-to-end case management experience with substantial misconduct, investigation and discipline matters, performance management and employee complaints.
- Demonstrated achievement in providing advisory and support services to stakeholders on complex industrial and Employee Relations matters, including enterprise bargaining, legislative frameworks, policy issues and developments, emerging trends and issues within the public sector.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated innovative and analytical problem-solving skills, with a flexible and agile approach, in a complex, rapidly changing and sensitive environment.
- Ability to assist in the preparation and management of industrial disputes and appeal matters and knowledge of QIRC rules and procedures.
- Highly developed communication and oral presentation skills, including the proven ability to write concise, high-quality reports, briefs and other correspondence.
