Nucleus3 is embarking on an exciting initiative to support our client in revolutionising their Control Room environment. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the creation of the Control Room of the Future. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the energy industry's future.
- This opportunity is ideally Melbourne-based however we will review candidates with specific skills & energy industry backgrounds from around Australia.
- 6 - 12 Month Daily Rate Contract
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project life cycle, starting with the creation and approval of the business case.
- Collaborate closely with the assigned Architect and key stakeholders within the Control Room Working Group.
- Manage and control projects, ensuring quality, cost, and time requirements are met.
- Consult and engage with internal and external stakeholders to define and meet project success criteria.
- Develop and maintain procedures, policies, and controls to achieve key project milestones.
- Provide regular executive-level status reports, communications, and advice on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Evaluate the project, providing feedback to key stakeholders on benefits achieved and opportunities for improvement.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expert ability to schedule, prioritise, and sequence work.
- Detailed knowledge of the energy sector, preferably in operations technology.
- Ability to prepare and deliver high-quality communications suitable for management and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving capability.
- Tertiary qualification (masters or bachelor) in an appropriate discipline (business, information technology, computer science, or electrical engineering).
- Relevant recognised project management certification (e.g., PMPPMP, PRINCE2, agile).
- Minimum 7 years in a project management environment managing medium to large projects involving information security, technology, and/or specialised engineering components across organisational departments and external stakeholders.
- Initial 6-month engagement with the likelihood of a 12-month extension and beyond during the project delivery phase.
