When I first moved to Melbourne from Qld over a decade ago, I had to get a Victorian drivers licence. I went to the local VicRoads office, filled in some forms, paid my money and got told that a new licence would be mailed to me.
It never turned up. But what did turn up a few months later were bills from Telcos for accounts that I’d never opened. It turned out that my licence had been stolen from my mailbox along with a utilities bill, which gave someone enough points to open an account online. Luckily for me they opened several and racked up $1000’s of debt in my name. Yay!
It took me 18 months to get the debts erased and highlighted the fact that the impacts of petty crime and fraud in particular have very human ramifications.
Since then, I’ve paid particular interest in how technology can solve this kind of problem. Which is why I'm thrilled to be hiring for TRAILD, a high-growth SaaS company that streamlines, automates and protects B2B payments.
Their specialised Accounts Payable software integrates with leading business ERP systems like SYSPRO, MYOB, and EPICOR to help clients make their AP process more streamlined, automated and secure.
