Make the move to a role that makes a difference. Join STREAT and use your passion for hospitality to lead the day-to-day operations of our newest Cafe/Pantry at Queen Vic Market- providing a fantastic customer experience alongside workplace training for marginalised young people.
About the role 
Your responsibilities will include: 
Work 07:00 - 3:00 across 5 days. At least one weekend day is required.
Lead by example and manage your team of baristas and front of house staff, including rostering, recruitment, and training. 
Facilitate the workplace training experience for STREAT’s young trainees, supported by our dedicated youth programs team who are always on hand to support you and your team. 
Ensure health and safety requirements are met. 
Ensure the day-to-day operations of the cafe run smoothly, whilst always striving for exceptional customer service.  
Maintain a pristine space, and take pride in the fine details.

About you 
We’d love for you to have: 
A genuine passion for hospitality. 
Excellent leadership and motivational skills. 
A track record of managing COGs and wage targets. 
Outstanding all round knowledge of Melbourne’s food and coffee culture. 
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. 
Experience in specialty coffee is essential for this role.

About our team 
We’re a team of over 90 staff – mainly baristas and chefs – but also youth workers, social workers and a bunch of admin and support staff. Our team has four key traits: We dream big about changing the world, we’re creative in how we try and solve problems, we all roll up our sleeves and get stuff done - and we have fun doing it!  
The role is available end of April but an earlier start date can be accomodated and we'll be reviewing applications as they're submitted. 
As part of STREAT's onboarding policy, you will require a current Victorian Working with Children Check prior to commencement. Any cost to you will be reimbursed by us.
