About the Role:
The Social Media and Communications Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of content campaigns and Social Media channel management to achieve Melbourne Polytechnic marketing objectives. You will be required to act as the subject matter expert in Social Media engagement, follow all protocols and policies relating to Melbourne Polytechnic Social Media platforms, and build brand consideration and preference within Melbourne Polytechnic communities.
Duties:
Act as the lead and subject matter expert for all Melbourne Polytechnic Social Media accounts.
Develop and refine Melbourne Polytechnic's Social Media strategy, in collaboration with marketing, communications and digital teams.
Conduct, gather and analyse market research on Social Media trends and best practice strategies.
Manage the development and amplification of content.
Develop briefs for the development of engaging content (written, videoed and photographed) for Social Media channels and online marketing collateral to build brand awareness and consideration for Melbourne Polytechnic in the market.
Execute Social Media campaigns to achieve Melbourne Polytechnic campaign objectives.
Review and report back to stakeholders on Social Media campaigns and Communications.
Lead the distribution of communications for the Institute across all Melbourne Polytechnic Social Media accounts to ensure consistent messaging for campaigns.
Skills and Experience Required:
Marketing or Communications degree or relevant experience in marketing, Social Media or communications.
Demonstrated exemplary written communication skills across a variety of audiences and subjects.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and their respective audiences, and how they can be used in an organisational context.
Ability to plan and deliver paid ads and campaigns through Facebook Business Manager and other in-platform advertising.
Strong copywriting skills to produce written content that can be published on Social Media and digital channels.
Extensive experience with a range of social monitoring, measurement, management and engagement tools.
Demonstrated ability to develop communication content briefs and coordinate amplification.
A current Working with Children Check Card (Employee).
