The Social Media and Content Expert will be responsible not only for the day-to-day management of ING’s social presence, but also for the development, execution, and measurement of multi-platform digital strategies across organic and earned Social Media. The role will work hand in glove with the brand team who manage paid social for ING.
This person will utilise digital channels to engage existing and potential customers through earned media strategy, provide news and updates, educate customers (for example, on financial wellbeing and scams), drive traffic to ING’s website, raise awareness of products, marketing initiatives, and integrate with our partners.
The ideal candidate is data-driven, has wide-ranging reporting and presentation skills, and displays a significant track record of hands-on production of engaging content. This person should also have a strong understanding of existing and emerging social platforms, and be able to use and gain insights from analytics tools to constantly measure and elevate the ING’s performance across all channels and campaigns.
We’re a small team and ‘rolling the sleeves up’ is as important as delivering awesome content. A day in the life of the Social Media and Content Expert can see them planning a new campaign with our brand teammates, shooting content with our ExCo, presenting the latest trends to internal stakeholders, working with the contact centre on a topical business related issue or supporting key internal talent in telling ING’s story externally. Ultimately, this person has a balance of key attention to detail and excellent planning and organisational skills.
What you’ll do
- Defining and develop a comprehensive earned and owned Social Media content strategy that aligns with ING’s brand identity, voice, and commercial objectives.
- Identifying opportunities for growth and engagement, including new audiences, through Social Media platforms.
- Producing (i.e. shoot) captivating content that drives awareness and consideration for our products while also highlighting our strong employer value proposition (aligning with the marketing team paid media strategy and our agencies)
- Developing and maintain an earned media content calendar for local initiatives and that also integrate with global strategy and paid media streams of work.
- Working with the media team and agencies to help execute social campaigns with relevant influencer and media partners to amplify the brand’s reach and engagement.
- Be hands-on in a crisis and ready to manage Social Media comms at any moment
- Track Social Media metrics and insights to assess campaign performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimise our Social Media presence.
- Developing regular reports summarising key performance metrics, trends, and recommendations to enhance Social Media effectiveness.
- Strong experience working across Social Media in a fast paced environment – with a passion for producing compelling content across all channels
- 7-10 years experience in a similar role – we’re open to all industries!
- Exceptional verbal and written skills – the ability to effectively communicate with our external audiences is cricital.
