Social Planning and Development Officer

Maroondah City Council is seeking a skilled and capable Social Planner to complement the Community Wellbeing team and contribute to effective Council and community planning.

The role is key to the development and implementation of Council’s Livability, Wellbeing and Resilience Strategy, along with providing support to the team and wider organisation with research and analysis of demographic data that supports effective planning.

The successful applicant will have the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across Council and the wider community to undertake strategic and effective health and wellbeing planning.

Applicants must have excellent organisational skills, be self-motivated, and have a genuine desire to improve wellbeing across the community.

The successful applicant must have prior experience in the development of strategic policies, plans and strategies and a commitment to community wellbeing.

Relevant qualifications and a proven ability to engage and work effectively across a range of stakeholders is essential.
