Social Research AnalystPart time ongoing position, 32 hours per weekUse your Social Research expertise to enable our community to have their say$96,365 - $104,848 per annum (pro rata to be applied) plus Super Reporting to the Social Research Team Leader, this is an opportunity to play a key role in overseeing the collection, analysis, and dissemination of social, health and demographic data to assist planning, policy and service delivery functions of Council departments and community organisations. A little bit about the roleThe role assists in the identification of current and future community needs, demands, expectations and aspirations as they relate to social planning. The role also provides advice on appropriate research, analysis and evaluation techniques that strengthen Council’s ability to shape and influence community building and wellbeing. This role contributes research insights gathered from a comprehensive suite of quantitative and qualitative research to ensure the voice of the community is at the heart of Council’s projects. What you will bring to the role?We are seeking a suitably skilled and enthusiastic individual with exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal). You will have highly developed Social Research skills with applied experience in designing and conducting research and analysing data (both qualitative & quantitative) along with a detailed and practical understanding of research databases and ability to develop and maintain new and existing databases. The successful incumbent will also have:a commitment to quality outcomes and efficient work practicesthe ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies and solutions to problemssound judgement and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary teamexcellent time management and organisation skills. Qualifications and Employment RequirementsPostgraduate qualification in social sciences or a related discipline.Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.All City of Boroondara employees must be fully vaccinated.
