The Opportunity: 

Urbis has an opportunity for two Research Analysts to join our Economics & Property team in Melbourne. In this role, you'll support the broader team in diverse consulting projects, supporting clients to deliver a wide range of retail, commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential development projects.  

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for data-driven insights, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in how property and economics can help shape cities and the communities.

You will be:

  • Desktop researching property related trends, policies, and urban development case studies.
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis from a wide range of data sources.
  • Collating and presenting data insights to provide evidence-based insights to clients in an engaging manner.
  • Utilising tools like GIS, internal databases, and Microsoft Office to generate data insights on population, employment, and property trends.
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals, reports, and advice.
  • Independently undertaking basis data analyses with attention to detail.
  • Contributing to the preparation of engaging reports, market outlooks and presentations.
  • Working collaboratively with clients and Urbis experts in other fields such as urban planning, design, social policy and valuations.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Economics, Commerce, Town Planning, Business, Finance or a related discipline
  • A high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Enjoy working with data and numbers
  • Genuine interest in property, cities and urban development
  • Experience in Property and Economics preferred but not necessary
