Social Sustainability Manager

It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.We are seeking someone for an 18-month fixed term role.Day-to-day, you will:Work with the Director of Social Licence and other internal and external stakeholders to build and implement an impact framework for the organisationUse data to develop and support progression of project/initiatives aligned to trends that impact Transurban and are likely to grow trustManage programs of work relating to the Social Sustainability strategy, creating impact for our stakeholders and trust in the organisationProactively work with stakeholders across the business, to share knowledge on social value and to gather stories to demonstrate how Transurban is creating impactMonitor and report on key social and industry issues and trends as well as best practice responsesSupport the management of project resourcing, structure, timing and budgetProactively build internal and external relationships and develop a network with key stakeholders and bodiesThis role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:Demonstrated experience working to create and implement social impact frameworks, and an understanding of social value methodologiesDemonstrated understanding of Sustainability/ESG and emerging trends both in Australia and globallyExperience executing complex strategic initiatives to support business wide objectivesStrong project management skills and experience, with attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to develop credible working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersStrong analytical skills in interpreting and presenting data, strong written and communication skillsProactive, with an ability to capture and initiate new opportunities for impactIf you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:A range of flexible working options16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, available for the duration of the contract, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as wellLearning and development opportunities to support your career interestsHealth and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and moreSocial activities and groupsWe offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests.
